Online mastering prices and what is included
The price is £50 per track. There is no package ladder, paid speed upgrade or separate charge for Apple Digital Master delivery when the recording is eligible.
A single song up to five minutes is one track. Album mastering is calculated by the number of tracks, with a total running time of up to 74 minutes.

A clear per-track price
The same £50 rate applies whether the track forms part of a single, EP or album. The price is not presented as a low entry figure that changes when you reach checkout.
For an album, multiply the number of tracks by £50. The total is based on track quantity, not a flat £50 album fee. If the project has unusually long tracks or falls outside the published limits, contact Rupert before ordering.

The service limits
Single track
Single-track mastering covers a finished stereo mix up to five minutes long.
Album
Album mastering covers a project up to 74 minutes in total. The songs should be supplied as finished stereo mixes, with the intended sequence and clear filenames.
Stem mastering
Stem mastering is not offered. Production and stereo mixing are separate services for projects that still need work within the mix.
What the price includes
Every track is listened to and mastered by Rupert Withers. The price covers the engineering work on the submitted stereo mix, preparation of the agreed master files, email delivery and download from your account.
For eligible recordings, Apple Digital Master delivery is included at no extra charge. The delivery can include both the Apple Digital Master version and a CD-quality version.
A DDP for album replication can be discussed where needed. Confirm that requirement before ordering so the sequence, track information and final delivery can be scoped correctly.
Turnaround
The stated turnaround is 7 to 10 days. Rupert aims to return work sooner, but the published window allows enough time to listen properly and manage busier periods without selling a rush tier. Work is scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
If the release date is fixed, ask before placing the order. Do not assume that paying more will move the project ahead of other confirmed work, because Vigilante Studio does not offer a paid express service.
UK VAT and overseas orders
VAT is added for UK customers. It is not charged to overseas customers.
The final amount, including VAT where applicable, is shown before payment.
Apple Digital Master is not an upgrade
Apple Digital Master delivery is part of the mastering service when the source recording qualifies. It is not a premium package and there is no additional fee.
Eligibility begins with the original recording and mix. A file created from a 16-bit source cannot be made eligible simply by exporting it as 24 bit. Send the native source and check the programme requirements before ordering when Apple delivery matters to the release.
Dolby Atmos is quoted separately
Dolby Atmos mixing and mastering is a different project from stereo online mastering. The amount of work depends on the source material, track count, release plan and required deliverables.
The £50 stereo rate does not apply to Atmos. Dolby Atmos mastering of a finished Atmos mix is £85 per track, and Atmos mixing is quoted individually. Start with a project enquiry and Rupert will confirm whether you need Atmos mixing, Atmos mastering or both.
